By using VoiceToPrompt, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using VoiceToPrompt ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use VoiceToPrompt on up to 3 devices you personally own or control, subject to:

• Active license or trial period
• Compliance with these Terms
• Payment of applicable fees

3. License Types

• 14-Day Free Trial — full access without payment, no credit card required
• Monthly Subscription — billed monthly, cancel anytime
• Annual Subscription — billed yearly, cancel anytime
• Lifetime License — one-time payment, includes 1 year of updates; optional paid renewal for continued updates

4. Permitted Use

You may use VoiceToPrompt for:

• Personal voice dictation and transcription
• Professional work (writing, coding, communication)
• Any lawful purpose

5. Restrictions

You may NOT:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the App or your license key
• Use the App for illegal activities
• Circumvent license verification or trial limits
• Share license keys with others

6. Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for all paid licenses. To request a refund:

• Email support@voicetoprompt.app within 30 days of purchase
• Provide your purchase receipt or license key
• Refunds are processed within 7 business days via the original payment method

After 30 days, all sales are final.

7. Updates and Updates Policy

• The App includes automatic update functionality (Sparkle framework)
• Lifetime license includes 1 year of updates from purchase date
• After 1 year, lifetime users can continue using their current version indefinitely or choose a paid renewal for future updates
• Subscription users receive updates while subscription is active

8. Third-Party Services

VoiceToPrompt may integrate with optional third-party services:

• OpenAI API — if you provide your own key. Your usage is governed by OpenAI's Terms.
• Other AI providers — same principle applies

We are not responsible for third-party services' availability, pricing, or policies.

9. Intellectual Property

• VoiceToPrompt and all its components are owned by us
• The names "VoiceToPrompt", logos, and branding are our property
• Open source components are licensed under their respective licenses (see About section in the App)

10. User Content

You retain all rights to:

• Content you dictate
• Transcribed text produced by the App
• Custom glossaries you create

We claim no ownership over your content and have no access to it (audio is processed locally).

11. Disclaimers

VOICETOPROMPT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee:

• 100% transcription accuracy
• Uninterrupted service
• Compatibility with all third-party apps
• Specific performance results

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Lost profits or data loss
• Issues caused by third-party services

13. Termination

• You may stop using the App at any time
• We may terminate licenses for violations of these Terms
• Upon termination, your license is revoked but you retain ownership of content already transcribed

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction. Disputes should first be resolved through good-faith negotiation.

16. Age Requirements

VoiceToPrompt is not intended for users under 13. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years old.
